Ingredients: certified organic Macadamias, Himalayan crystal salt, filtered water.
Activated – like all seeds, nuts contain protective compounds (phytic acids and enzyme inhibitors) to ensure successful germination. These are indigestible to us.
We soak the nuts in filtered water with Himalayan crystal salt, mimicking germination, thereby breaking down the indigestible compounds to simple ones that we can digest. They are then dried at a low temperature keeping the nutrients intact and preserving fats and proteins.
Macadamias – rich in B vitamins, especially B1, B2 and B5. Ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids is exactly equal. High in calcium, potassium and dietary fibre. Unique fatty acid profile – 80% is stable, mono-unsaturated fat, of which 22% is palmitolytic acid, a strong microbial agent. 60% of the fat is monosaturated oleic acid.
